Denovo has considerable experience in helping manufacturers and distributors of consumer goods achieve business success. Some of our recent engagements are:
- An international manufacturer/distributor of lighting products merged with its two largest competitors. Denovo aided them with evaluation of their three legacy ERP systems and resolution of an on-going system to support the newly combined company. JD Edwards was one of the three legacy systems evaluated.
- Denovo recently completed a project to aid this international manufacturer with design of new high-level business processes to support Order-to-Cash, and Design-to-Build processes.
- Currently working on JD Edwards' implementation planning, integration, EDI, reporting, and custom development projects for an international footware company. Completed a global Advanced Pricing projects in March 2008. More details on the specific integration projects follow:
- Our initial efforts were to install and configure the EnterpriseOne (E1) Web Services Gateway (WSG) and E1 Transaction Server (used for outbound events from E1 in real-time).
- We reviewed and made recommendations for their overall integration architecture based on best practices and our experience with E1 Integrations.
- We provided integration guidance to the team developing the integrations between the New York warehouse application and E1. This included the team from New York as well as our client’s employees and contractors.
- We provided performance tuning and load recommendations for the WSG and Transaction Server, as well as performed configurations to implement our recommendations.
- We were the liaison between our client’s IT group and Oracle for issues, fixes, and bugs within the WSG and Transaction Server products to ensure fixes and patches were obtained and applied.
- Provided process and procedures to the IT team for troubleshooting and assessing issues within the integration framework deployed at the client and tips and techniques on how to solve most of the common issues found day-to-day in the care and feeding of the integration framework.
- We provided forward looking architecture and recommendations to help align the client’s integration strategies with Oracle's roadmap for Fusion including SOA, BPEL, and Business Services within the E1 suite for E12 and Tools 8.92 and up.
- We are still providing level 2 and level 3 support for any issues as we transition the project from development/test to full production in multiple countries and locations.
- Our team provided the following around EDI integration:
- Customization and configuration for standard E1 EDI processing via an EDI VAN (Value Added Network) and 3rd party software for the EDI to E1 mappings.
- Performance tuning and recommendations for customizations and modifications to existing E1 software components and modules.
- Tips and techniques for troubleshooting and resolving issues within the EDI integration framework.
- Level 1, 2, and 3 support of the EDI architecture/framework at our client’s location.
- In support of the client’s Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) integration our team performed the following:
- Optimized enterprise demand management by integrating EnterpriseOne (E1) 8.11 with Strategic Network Optimization (SNO).
- Developed SNO Staging Area to ensure data quality and maintainability. Key functionalities of the Staging Area include
- flat files import
- data management
- data transformation
- easy to use front ends for users to create/modify/delete SNO data
- ability for users to make mass data changes
- automatic consistency and integrity enforcement between data in related tables
- and SNO import files generation
- Denovo recently completed support of a Canadian manufacturer of Consumer Products upgrade and go live to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.10, including the following roles:
- Lead the EnterpriseOne 8.10 “go-live” support development team.
- Worked closely with the client Project manager to manage and prioritize the issues list, and managed the development team work load.
- Acted as a liaison between the development team and the functional team and users to reach the resolutions on the issues reported.
- Provided “go-live” support for E1 8.10 Distribution, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Financial modules.
- Worked closely with the development team and the client personnel to resolves issues.
- Debugged and made changes to programs as needed and provided solutions in a timely manner.
